I get a lot of phone calls for family reunions and such throughout the year and reunions are always fun to photograph! When I got this call though, it was for a much more sobering reason. The family had gathered because their matriarch had passed away. The family was all coming together to celebrate her life and see each other all in the same place for the first time in many years! Although their reason for getting together was a sad one, I thought it was beautiful that they grasped how important they were to each other and to commemorate their time back together with a family portrait.
